Volunteering
I volunteer with STEMETTES to introduce young students to human-centred design through hands-on workshops. It’s a meaningful way for me to give back and support the next generation of creative thinkers.

My interest in design began during the Summer Master Course: Fundamentals of Human-Technology Interaction at the university of Tampere in Finland. On the first day, we were given a simple but eye-opening exercise: redesign a television remote. It was the moment I realised that design is not only visual, it is about empathy, clarity, and understanding how people interact with the world around them.
That experience guided me to pursue my Master’s in Human–Computer Interaction Design and shaped the way I approach design today.
Years later, while volunteering with STEMETTES, I found myself introducing students to the exact same exercise, redesigning a remote. It felt like a full-circle moment: I had gone from being inspired to now helping others discover design for the first time.
What I Do When Volunteering
Lead workshops on the fundamentals of human-centered design
Encourage creative confidence and open problem-solving
Guide students to think about usability, accessibility, and inclusivity
Show how design can be a meaningful and empowering career path
Why It Matters to Me
Volunteering allows me to return to the moment that sparked my own journey, and to support young people in discovering their own.
